At Harper’s Health, we accept referrals from individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and support coordinators. We offer services under various funding schemes, ensuring clients can access the support they need.
Below, you’ll find the different referral types we accept and what’s required for each.

Medicare Referrals
Eligible Services: Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work
Who can refer? General Practitioners (GPs), Pediatricians, and Psychiatrists
Funding Type: Medicare rebates under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHCP) or Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan
Requirements:

A completed referral letter from a GP, psychiatrist, or pediatrician

A valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHCP) for psychology services

An Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan for allied health services (OT, speech, social work)

Referral can be uploaded on the referral form or emailed to Harper’s Health
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Referrals
Eligible Services: Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Behaviour Support
Who can refer? Self-managed participants, plan managers, support coordinators, or family members
Funding Type: Self-managed, plan-managed and agency-managed NDIS participants
Requirements:

Provide NDIS number and plan details

Indicate therapy goals and required supports

Referral can be made via phone, email, or online form
Private Paying Clients
Eligible Services: Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work
Who can refer? Self-referral, parents, caregivers, healthcare providers
Funding Type: Out-of-pocket payments or private health insurance
Requirements:

No referral required

Clients can contact us directly to book an appointment

Some private health insurers may provide rebates (check with your provider)
Workers’ Compensation & Insurance Referrals
Eligible Services: Psychology
Who can refer? Employers, insurers, medical professionals, or the individual
Funding Type: WorkCover, Workers’ Compensation, or private insurance claims
Requirements:

A claim number and insurer details

A medical certificate or referral from a GP or specialist

Contact details of the case manager (if applicable)

Pre-approval from the insurer for funded therapy sessions
